Job Description:

SUMMARY:The Business Analyst acts as the primary liaison between IT and PGT's stakeholders to provide maximum value to the organization through IT solutions and technical support. This position will have a primary focus on the Sales, Marketing, and Customer Care activities supported by PGT's ERP application and related systems.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.Works closely with PGT's Sales, Marketing, and Customer Care teams to provide maximum value to our customers and the organization through systems-based business solutions.Works closely with business stakeholders, IT Project Managers, IT Leadership, IT Developers, and IT Quality Assurance to deliver IT projects and enhancements on time and to the agreed upon specifications.Obtains, analyzes, and documents information from end-users regarding their requirements for new software or modifications to existing software.Assists in the root cause analysis, resolution, and testing of system issues.Identifies gaps between user requirements and system capabilities. Assists in developing solutions to these gaps as needed.Documents detailed requirements of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify software and systems.Uses PGT's ITSM tool to prioritize work and manage the implementation of modifications to systems, adhering to PGT's SOX governance policies and internal processes and procedures.Coordinates installation, implementation, and training activities with end users.Develops ad hoc reports as needed using PGT's query tool.Works with IT Leadership and business stakeholders to assess, select, and help implement new software.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:None, although the Business Analyst may coordinate the activities of the Software Developers and Quality Assurance AnalystsQUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's Degree in IT related field recommended but not required.4+ years' experience working in the IT field, ERP experience is preferred.Proficient in the following Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint.LANGUAGE / COMMUNICATION SKILLS:Strong English language skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsMATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Logic skillsREASONING ABILITY:Attention to detail and ability to develop and follow procedures required.Ability to work effectively with internal and external groups with different levels of technological knowledge.PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. ExperienceRequired4 year(s): Four years of experience in a computer related field.EducationPreferredBachelors or better
