Responsibilities:

• This position reports to the Production/Compounding Supervisor and is responsible for gathering and weighing materials and chemicals in preparing mixes, following batch instructions. He/she is responsible for obtaining materials from inventory, weighing all ingredients utilizing calibrated scales, proper handling tools, equipment, and sanitized containers. Must have the ability to complete all documentation, paperwork or logbooks accurately and in accordance with FDA and GMP requirements. Additional Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.
  
  • Follow hazardous material handling and personal protective equipment requirements
  • Adhere to GMP practices, FDA regulations and Safety protocols
  • Responsible for meeting batch preparation time standards while maintaining safety and quality requirements
  • Promotes positive company relationships by working together with other departments to achieve production goals
  • Maintain a high level of orderliness and cleanliness in batch making area and proper storage of batch area inventories.
  • Conduct raw materials physical inventory
  • Perform calibration checks of the scales and document logbook
  • Ability to work flexible schedules as production schedules demand, including weekends
    
    Competencies:
    
    • Proven batching experience, preferably within an liquid cosmetic, OTC or manufacturing environment
    • Ability to accurately weigh/measure chemicals in both powder and liquid form
    • Ability to handle physical workload
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to read, write and perform basic math computations
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Certified forklift driver, preferredMinimum Requirements:
      
      • High School Diploma
      • 0-3 years of blending, compounding or manufacturing experience in related industry
        Work Environment:
        
        • This position works in a plant environment, handling chemicals and might be exposed to elevated temperatures during the manufacturing process. Some exposure to fumes, dust or other airborne particles is likely. The position is constantly standing, handling raw materials, using scales for weighing, walking, bending/stooping, climbing stairs/ladders and lifting up to 50 lbs.
