Job Description:

Large insurance firm is seeking a Middle Market Marketing Representative to handle new and renewal marketing on commercial accounts. The Middle Market Marketing Representative will respond to marketing, coverage, and underwriting questions. Consult with producers and carriers on marketing placement. This position will be responsible for providing timely and professional day-to-day underwriting account review, marketing and working closely with the insurance agency, producer, and carrier underwriters.

Position Summary:
Individual should be able to handle the overall underwriting and marketing aspects of risk placement, including new business and renewal submissions.
Negotiate and offer insurance coverage placement, overview including alternatives and account rounding.
Advanced marketing abilities in online rating, risk evaluation, loss assessment.
Support Producer, Account Executive and Account Manager on handling the daily renewal and new business marketing needs of our clients and prospects, in a timely manner of Middle Market accounts.
Review for market development of additional lines of coverage to existing accounts if required. Underwrite risk information, COPE, Loss History, SOV, acords, supplementals for pristine carrier submission. Review, qualify, develop, and update submissions for market.
Complete submission supporting documentation, e.g., claims exhibits and statement of values.
Submit to carriers for quotes, negotiate, propose, and bind coverage.
Negotiate with companies for agency coverage standards, terms, and premiums.
Address any marketing service requirements if requested and review new and renewal business applications against proposals and binders.
Handle placement through binding including all document processing applications, creating certificate masters, management and confirming receipt of all binding documents and client payments pertaining to placement.
Follow up to ensure timely responses, all in conjunction with departmental binding procedures.
Prepare proposal, binding, and financial documents for production presentation.
Transitioning marketed account to the client account manager for future service.
Handle phone calls to and from companies regarding quotes and new markets open for affiliate companies.
Follow up on outstanding orders, correspondence, reports, and any overdue and suspense items.
Processes incoming e-mail requests accurately and swiftly.
Utilization and rating of all online rating programs for account assigned to marketing and lines where just online rating is required.
Attend agency visits with all our affiliated companies.
Assist in any additional team projects, as necessary.

Qualifications
7 - 10+ years of insurance industry experience related to marketing commercial accounts
2-20 Property and Casualty license
Expert knowledge of commercial insurance coverage
Designations a plus
AMS360/Worksmart Imaging or Applied (TAM or EPIC) software experience preferred.
Online rating ability
Knowledge of Insurance and/or Brokerage business
Technical knowledge of product area or industry
Ability to provide consultation and expert advice to clients.
Knowledge of computer software packages, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Verbal and written communication skills

The ideal person for this position has a dynamic personality and is passionate about sales and marketing. This candidate should have previous relevant experience and be interested in learning new sales techniques. To succeed in this role, he/she should be goal-driven and have strong negotiation skills.

Responsibilities:
Execute enablement materials - Develop marketing materials for distribution to customers and internal stakeholders for cross-functional enablement. Develop and maintain positive relationships with existing and potential clients. Identify target customers and markets.
Facilitate internal communications - Collaborate with sales and product teams to develop branded messages. Collect and compile customer feedback in an easily reviewed and understood format for review by company management and leadership. Collect and maintain sales records required to track, review, and modify the performance of marketing initiatives.
Monitor actionable metrics - Forecast and analyze sales trends, marketing strategies, and product performance. Prepare and present reports summarizing information while making recommendations based on analysis. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Statistics, Business or a related field required
1-3 years of related experience in business, promotional sales, customer service or a related field preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent sales and customer service skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
