Job Description Job Description Universal Environmental Services is hiring CDL A or B Local Box Truck Drivers in Fort Lauderdale, FL . Oil filter collection drivers will be collecting used oil filter carts from customers and loading on the truck. Compensation Competitive compensation package Guaranteed daily pay rate Average hours weekly: 40-60 Referral bonus: $1,000 Quarterly safety bonus Paid via direct deposit biweekly Benefits & Perks Great company benefits starting after 30 days employed: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Company paid life and AD&D insurance Company paid short-term and long-term disability insurance 401K with company match 8 Paid company holidays Up to 15 Paid vacation days, 3 personal days, 2 sick days Tuition reimbursement Paid training and paid orientation Perks: Fuel card, company credit card, uniforms, iPhone Take truck home program with approval No slip seating Home Time, Route, & Schedule Home time: Home daily Schedule: Monday – Friday Occasional Saturday work Shift: Day shift, Start times between 6-7am Route: 250 mile radius of Ft Lauderdale, FL Level of Touch: Drivers will be collecting used oil filter carts from customers, loading on the truck, and offloading Equipment Late model box trucks Automatic & manual transmission Must be able to operate a manual transmission Outward facing cameras ELD equipped using Samsara system Responsibilities Collection of filters in various containers using proper techniques and safety equipment Responsible for labeling containers and documenting volumes of pickups for each customer Working daily or as needed with filter crusher equipment Wears company supplied uniforms and required safety equipment Establish and maintain effective work relationships with employees and customers Must be familiar with all company policies and procedures regarding safety and operations Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age Must have CDL A or B license Must have a minimum of 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience with a clean driving record Hazmat & tanker endorsement preferred Must be able to operate a manual transmission Physical activity includes bending, reaching, stretching, and climbing in/out of tractors in addition to various conditions dependent upon customer location/limitations Capable of lifting, pushing, pulling and/or moving a variety of containers ranging from less than 100 pounds to over 600 pounds using proper equipment and safe lifting techniques minimizing risk of injury Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen Hiring Radius: Drivers must live within 50 miles of Fort Lauderdale, FL or be willing to relocate for this position .
