As a Card Room Dealer, you will be responsible for the control of the card games, providing exemplary guest service, and increasing rated play. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and hazard-free work environment.Calder Casino offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package and other perks for eligible Team Members including but not limited to: Paid Time Off, 401K, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD, LTD, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Tuition Reimbursement, Team Member exclusive discounts, and more! **SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*** Deals cards to players and shuffles as appropriate according to established rules and regulations.* Ensures that correct "rake" is taken from the designated players.* Ensures that wagers are placed before cards are dealt.* Monitors game and notifies supervisor of any disputes, problems, or concerns with either a patron or the progress of the game.* Promotes positive Team Member and Guest relations at all times.* Responsible for the operation and conduct of the assigned game in accordance with SOPs, internal controls, and the rules and procedures of the cardroom.* Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate leaders of concerns and observations.* Ensure prompt and discreet notification to leaders and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations.* Ensure the safety and security of Team Members and guests.* Assisting guest with seating and chip distribution.* Responsible for keeping the cardroom clean, sanitized, and in order.* Perform other duties as assigned.**STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE*** Exceptional guest service skills. * Maintains a professional working relationship among all Team Members and guests. * Knowledge of state gaming laws and regulations. * Adherence to Code of Conduct and all Calder Casino policies and procedures. * Ability to maintain and upbeat and positive outlook at all times. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Willingness to assume responsibility relative to the performance of the cardroom. **EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE*** High school or GED equivalent or equivalent work experience* Knowledge and experience dealing Card Room games.* Ability to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
