Florida National University -
Florida National University contributes to the education of a

It is the purpose of the Faculty member at Florida National
University to provide quality instruction and career advisement to
all students. The faculty also is responsible for maintaining
grades and for the development of course objectives, outline,
syllabi, and course competencies.
Reporting Relationship: Faculty Member shall report to the Director
of Nursing
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides appropriate level of instruction that reflects the use of
Evidence-based Practice in all MSN courses
Provides quality instruction and continuous mentorship for all
students online, hybrid or on campus.
Ensures the assessment of students learning outcomes per course and
provides specific measurement parameters to evaluate these
outcomes.
Conducts classes for the scheduled amount of hours assigned to each
class meeting.
Models appropriate attendance for his/her students.
Demonstrates evidence of professional growth through participation
in continuing education, research or related activities.
Reports to the Registrar's office all grades and submits reports on
a timely fashion.
Attends all faculty meetings, professional development functions
and University committees to which they have been assigned.
Performs the administrative duties pertaining to the preparation of
Syllabi and participation in the program self-studies and/or
accreditation standards fulfillment
Works with the librarians in the establishment and weeding of the
library program and course collection development.
Performs any special project assigned by the President or the DON
of the program
Demonstrates leadership skills that can motivate students, staff
and other faculties
Performs all other duties designed to maintain sustainability of
the program as assigned
Participate in the self-studies and committees conducted by the
University.
Support and participate in University Commencement Ceremonies.
Performs any special project assigned by the President or
supervisor.
Perform other duties as assigned
Ensure compliance with Title IX of Education Amendments Act of
1972.
Follow all FNU Policies, Procedures, Rules and Regulation and the
FNU Code of Ethics. As well as, Title IX, Family Educational Rights
and Privacy Act, as amended from time to time ("FERPA"), Florida
Information Protection Act of 2014, as amended from time to time
("FIPA"), the EU General Data Protection Regulation as amended from
time to time (GDPR) and all other applicable federal, state and
local laws, rules, and regulations.
Reads, understands and complies with the University's mission, the
catalog, the University's policies and procedures, the Faculty
Handbook, the institutional effectiveness process and the FBON
guidelines.
Respond to communications (e-mail, voice mail) on a daily
basis.
Education & Experience Requirements
Required: Masters in Nursing Education, Nursing, or related
field
Required: 3+ years pediatric nursing experience
RN License
1 year of teaching experience strongly preferred
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $43.00 - $45.00 per hour
