Job Description:

Full-time Medical Assistant needed for Dermatology practice located in Hialeah.Job Description* Prepare patients for examinations and assist the Physician in exam rooms* Verify patient information recording medical history and confirm purpose of visit* Explain medical procedures to patients* Collect blood, tissue or other laboratory specimens, log the specimens, and prepare them for testing* Authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies* Maintain patient medical records and update patient files as needed* Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physician and physicians assistants* Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required* All other duties as assigned by the PhysicianJob Type: Full-timePay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hourBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Free parking* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceMedical specialties:* DermatologySchedule:* 8 hour shift* Day shift* Monday to Friday* No weekendsAbility to commute/relocate:* Hialeah, FL 33016: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Experience:* EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)License/Certification:* Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)Work Location: One location
