Location : UMHC/SCCC Pediatric at Hematology/Oncology Clinic

The University of Miami UMHC/SCCC Pediatric - Hematology/Oncology Clinic has an exciting opportunity for a Part Time Chemotherapy Registered Nurse. The Chemotherapy Registered Nurse :

* Will be a professional registered nurse who administers research study agents including Phase I, standard chemotherapy and biotherapy agents, and nonchemotherapy medications.

* He/she will administer care to pediatric oncology, hematology, bone marrow transplant and non-oncology patients as well as with multiple disease process' in the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic.

* may assist in sedations and procedures in the treatment room in the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

* Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, Bachelor's degree (BSN) preferred. RNs hired with an Associates (ASN) degree have 2 years to complete the BSN degree.


Certification and Licensing:

* Current/valid Florida nursing license. BLS/PALS Provider Cards required.

* Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Administration Guidelines provider course.

* Association of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Administration

* Guidelines provider course preferred.


Experience:

* Minimum of three (3) years recent pediatric hematology-oncology nursing experience.

* Recent experience In administering chemotherapy and biotherapy agents.

* Oncology, Pediatric Hematology-Oncology, or Pediatric Certified Nurse certification preferred.
