THIS IS NOT A 9-5 TYPE OF POSITION.
Chick-fil-A Hialeah Westland is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager, Training and Development to join our leadership team. This position will own and oversee all training, coaching and development of the team, as well as support in maintaining highest level of culture and care. As Manager, Training and Development you will be a top-tier leader in this organization reporting to and working alongside the Director of Talent and Culture, General Manager and Owner/Operator.
This hands-on management role is designed to give guidance and support to the entire team when it comes to our training plan, which includes Chick-fil-A's online training program, new hire training, food safety and sanitation compliance training, OSHA compliance, certified trainers, new product and process rollouts, and other special projects.
The Manager, Training and Development is primarily responsible for delivering a Top-Notch training experience for our Team Members at the Chick-fil-A Hialeah Westland. You will be an active and hands-on member of our Leadership team, whose primary role is to ensure both the Front of House and Back of House teams are trained to care for our Guests, each other and contribute to the overall success of the business.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coaches and mentors team members to aspire to live out the restaurant's core values and vision
  • Well organized with excellent verbal, written, and communications skills
  • Serve as a role model and mentor in the restaurant
  • Follows Chick-fil-A's operational policies and procedures
  • Actively developing Team Members through training program and coaching
  • Supporting leadership team in maintaining a positive work culture
  • Creates continuous training plans for all Team Members to further their growth
  • Tracks and communicates employee development with assessments, evaluations, etc. to the leadership team
  • Communicates employee performance and policy/procedure violations to Director, Talent and Culture
  • Maintains a clean and pleasant environment
  • The TD is responsible for training & development of the Training Ambassador team.
  • Ensure new product rollout training is done in a timely and accurate manner
  • Maintains a positive working relationship and treats all employees with respect while providing them with direction and feedback
  • Helps to maintain a culture of growth and excellence
  • Monitoring and managing training checklists for new Team Members
  • Conducting performance reviews with new Team Members and Trainers
  • Assists Director, Talent and Culture with culture and motivation events and programs

    REQUIREMENTS
    • Bachelor degree in business or related field preferred
    • 2-4+ years of leadership experience required
    • Restaurant/Hospitality experience is a plus
    • Outgoing, confident and engaging with others
    • Superior verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Excellent leadership skills
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
    • Candidate must be organized and detail-oriented
    • Professional in time-management, scheduling priorities, and communication
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
      In our kitchens, we focus on fresh and simple ingredients. And we always have. Since the beginning, we've served chicken that is whole breast meat, with no added fillers or hormones, and we bread it by hand in our restaurants. Produce is delivered fresh to our kitchens several times a week. Salads are chopped and prepared fresh throughout the day. Whole lemons are freshly squeezed in our restaurants and combined with pure cane sugar and water (yep, that's all) to make Chick-fil-A Lemonade -. It may not be the easy way, but it's the only way we know.
