Manager Financial Planning & Analysis Direct Hire Near MIA Airport Onsite Monday - Friday $110-$150K bonus Individual contributor role- No direct reports SUMMARY The Finance Manager is responsible for preparing the annual operating plan, monthly operating forecasts, volume and margin analysis and operating expense spending analysis. This role will provide financial analyses and insights brand management and the Executive Team including preparing financial presentations, reporting packages for the parent company, and other projects requested by senior management. This function acts as the financial analytical backbone of the Brand---s Income Statement, to provide insights and support strategic decision making. The Manager reports to the Director of Finance. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES The Finance Manager will be expected to: Prepare the annual operating Plan, monthly forecasting, and analysis for the brand. Develop the annual Plan for the company by partnering and collaborating with cross-functional department owners and planning functions to create a complete Income Statement. Produce and present monthly financial reports and forecasts against Plan and prior forecasts for all components of the Income Statement. Seek ways to streamline and improve the budgeting and forecasting processes. Oversee the preparation and presentation of analysis and commentary for financial reporting. Prepare the weekly, monthly, and quarterly Brand reporting packages that include consolidated Income Statements and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Analyze and explain key P&L statement and headcount variances to forecast and budget. Collaborate with corporate finance team members to support quarterly external reporting. Develop meaningful reporting to lead business improvement and cost reductions. Provide financial analysis, strategic support, and competitive analysis. Drive profitable growth by improving visibility, forecasting, consolidation, and analysis of results and key metrics while advising senior management on insights and recommended actions. Leverage financial data and insights to identify key business opportunities and drive efficiency. Partner with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in financial and operational execution. Support the business from a conceptual, analytical, and financial perspective by providing regular and ad-hoc analysis and recommendations related to Cost of Sales (COS). Be the COS subject matter expert who develops and presents recommendations from accurate assessments and/or analysis. Provide regular updates to the business, including Operations, Procurement, and FP&A teams, on overall Cost of Sales performance including Actual vs. Theoretical food cost reporting. Coordinate with Procurement to provide up to date commodity impact on COS and margin. Perform other duties as assigned. KEY INTERFACES On a frequent basis will interface with VP of Finance, Executive team, Corporate Accounting, Restaurant Accounting, IT, and Operations leadership. REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Reports to Director of Finance KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: A successful candidate for this role will have the following experience and skills: 5-8 years of experience analyzing financial statements, forecasts, month end close, and budgets; multi-unit restaurant experience is preferred. Bachelors/Undergraduate degree in Finance or related field is required. Intermediate to advanced level on MS Excel with extensive experience building and maintaining financial models; Experience automating complex reports in Excel is preferred. Familiarity with Cost Accounting, including product and labor costing is preferred. Prior experience in Hyperion Enterprise and Essbase is desired. A successful candidate for this role will demonstrate the following personal skills and attributes: Well-developed analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to turn analysis into insights. Strong written and verbal communication skills; must be able to effectively communicate to all levels of staff up to executive level management. Drive for results and exceptional attention to detail. Must possess excellent organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects. Ability to lead change and champion process changes in a cross-functional organization. Must be flexible and thrive in a fast pace environment.
