Job Description SFACS is hiring Teacher Assistants and Paraprofessional Aides for the 2021-22 school year to start August 11, 2021. Salary: Teacher Assistant (FULL TIME): Starting salary is $24,000 with Bachelor's Degree; $21,000 without. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. 10-month contract paid over 12 months. Paraprofessional Aide (PART TIME): $10 per hour. Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Job Requirements: High School Diploma is required; Associate Degree preferred; Bachelor's degree is a plus. For all positions, prior experience working in the public school system, working children with disabilities, and/or Applied Behavior Analysis is preferred. Background screening required through Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Fluent English, written and spoken, is required; being bilingual is a plus. The methodologies of B.F. Skinner---s Theory of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behavior (VB) are applied in conjunction with State Standards for students on a modified curriculum in order to provide the most effective individualized educational programs possible.
